Correlation of dry eye symptoms and young adult riders.

Objective: To correlate the symptoms of dry eye with young adult riders. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Setting: Al-Tibri Medical College, Isra University, Karachi. Period: December 2020 to November 2021. Material & Methods: 60 riders eyes between age 21-30 years were included in study and their duration riding bike, bike a day, lastly recorded. Data was analyzed using SPSS version 24.0 correlation assessed Pearson’s correlation. The level significance set at P<0.05. Results: mean 25.46 ± 0.12. 70% for more than 5 years, 23.3% 2 while only 6.7% less years. 36.1% rode >8 hours/day, 26.7% >6 21.7% >4 15% hours/day. Symptoms dryness, burning, itching, crusting, blurring, redness all showed significant difference as rider well number hours during day. Conclusion: Dry significantly appropriate intervention is required treat it accordingly.
